Jim is a founding member of Riverview Financial Advisors, LLC and has more than 25 years experience working with clients that are approaching retirement or are currently retired and need a Tax and Financial Advisor to help them with the management of their financial affairs.

Jim obtained the Certified Financial Planner designation in 1996, this involves a rigorous certification process that includes demanding education, test examination, experience and ethical requirements.

Jim is also a Certified Public Accountant and Partner in the accounting firm of Glorvigen, Tierney & Company in Grand Rapids, Minnesota. Working with clients in the preparation of Individual Tax returns and tax savings strategies. Jim has been a Certified Public Accountant in Minnesota since 1993.

As a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Financial Planner Jim adheres to the highest of ethical standards and professionalism. As an Independent Financial Advisor in northern Minnesota for the last 20 years Jim has helped many of his clients work towards a worry free retirement.
